Block.one upgrade to B1.com

On July 9, Block.one announced on its Twitter account that it now uses the @B1 Twitter handle. A quick check and you can see that Block.one moved from the domain Block.one to the B1.com domain name. Nice upgrade for the company considering .com is perceived as stronger and more credible than newer alternatives!

Block.one, a software company specializing in high-performance blockchain technologies, was founded in 2017 in the Cayman Islands. The company has established locations in the United States and Asia Pacific, with more than 300 highly specialized engineers and other talented full-time employees from diverse disciplines.

Just to remind you, on March 26, 2020, Block.one has deposited a sum of $30 million in cash as payment for the domain name Voice.com that it acquired for its latest blockchain-based social media startup called Voice.

The word “Voice” is simple and universally understood. It’s also ubiquitous – as a search term, it returns billions of results on the internet. An ultra-premium domain name like Voice.com can help a company achieve instantaneous brand recognition, ignite a business and massively accelerate value creation.

Senior Executive Vice President & Chief Marketing Officer, MicroStrategy

The company acquired the domain name Bullish.com in November 2020 for $1,080,000. On May 11, 2021, Block.one announced plans to launch a hybrid exchange called Bullish. The company describes the exchange as a platform that effectively combines decentralized and centralized trading infrastructures for improved performance.

Bullish, as the exchange will be known, is being capitalized by Block.one with about $10 billion in digital assets and cash. That seeding for Bullish Global includes 164,000 Bitcoins valued at around $9.7 billion, $100 million in cash and 20 million EOS tokens, which power Block.one transactions. A funding round raised another $300 million, Block.one said in a statement Tuesday.

Without a doubt, this company knows why investing in a good domain name is important for a brand. Just like many business owners who decided to take this step earlier, B1 has certainly shown that it cares that its customers can easily find their brand online.
